Upon his retirement, Jack Dady set about collating and researching Fenstanton’s history and eventually a book was published as a result of some friendly persuasion. Jack took the view that whilst the book was very specific to the village, there was a generic undertone which could apply to the historical development of every small village in the country.
Jack handed over the mantle of ‘historian’ and over many years of research his original collection has increased by many orders of magnitude and now is a very extensive collection of documents. It is intended that these will eventually be published but the many thousands of files will take a while but they will be added over time.
