CURTIS Frank

Frank CURTIS  of Fenstanton. Passed away suddenly but peacefully at Hinchingbrooke Hospital aged 83 years.

Beloved Husband of the late Gladys, Father of Michael and Shanta, Father-in-law of Lynn and Gary, Grandfather of Sabrina, Briony, Jemma and Sean. So very sadly missed.

CLARK nee Royston. On Sunday 1st October 2006, suddenly but peacefully in Hinchingbrooke Hospital,

JENNIE of Fenstanton, aged 97 years. Loving and much loved mother of Vincent. Devoted nanna of Emma. Very dear mother-in-law of Greer.

Funeral service today Wednesday 11th October 2006 at the United Reformed Church, Fenstanton at 2pm followed by burial in the cemetery.

CARTER Marie

Marie CARTER (nee Dighton) of Inverness and formerly of Godmanchester and Fenstanton died on Saturday December 17th, 2005 aged 64 years. Wife of John.

Funeral Service at St. Mary the Virgin Godmanchester on Tuesday January 10th at 2:00pm, followed by cremation.

WILSON Frances Rose

Frances Rose WILSON aged 93 years of St Ives. Passed away 14th February 2005.

“She says goodbye to all who loved her”.

“We regret to announce the death of Mrs Frances Rose Wilson, aged 93 years of St Ives. Frances was born in 1912, the second child of Alfred Charles and Rosetta Kate (nee Smith)Joyce.

After leaving Fenstanton school, she went in to service working at the Elms in Houghton as. a maid.

She also worked for Mr Day, the town clerk at Rheola until her marriage in 1933 to Frank Wilson. During the war, Frances, along with her sister Ettie were in the N.A.A.F.I. based at Warboys.

After her husband returned from service, they set up a printing business in Free Church Passage, St Ives. In the later years, Frank Wilson of East Street. Frances assisted her husband with the running of the St Ives Youth Club, he was appointed its leader in 1946, shortly after it had opened . They retired in 1963 from the club. Frances and Frank continued to run their printing business until his death in 1978.”

WOODROFF Jessie Beatrice

Jessie Beatrice WOODROFF of Fenstanton and formerly of Cambridge, peacefully at Paxton Hall Care Home, on Tuesday, December 30th, 2003, aged 93 years, loving wife of the late Frank Woodroff, dear mother of Brian and Keith, a much loved mother-in-law , grandmother and great­ grandmother.

Funeral service at the United Reform Church, Fenstanton, on Thursday, January 8th, 2004, at 11.00am, followed by burial in the parish churchyard.

Doreen Lavinia ASTLEY of Fenstanton and formerly of Great Shelford and Trumpington.

Suddenly, no Easter Saturday 19th April 2003, aged 75 years. Beloved wife of Tony, dearest and much loved mum to Carol, Mandy and son in law Peter and greatly loved nano to Alice and Joe.

Funeral at Fenstanton Parish Church on Thursday 1st May at 2pm followed by interment in Fenstanton Churchyard.
