Fenstanton – the official website for the Cambridgeshire village community

Welcome to the official website for the Cambridgeshire village of Fenstanton.

Like every community, Fenstanton is no different when it comes to an association with persons who have contributed locally or had a wider influence elsewhere. We are therefore particularly proud to be both the birthplace of John Howland, one of the first Pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower and the final resting place of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and his wife.

Fenstanton is becoming a thriving community thanks in part to the expansion of the village and the influx of new enthusiastic members of our community.

This site is currently undergoing total renovation, long overdue after 20+ years.  There will be changes over the coming months with more focus on the local history and will include galleries of images from the past. We welcome feedback and suggestions!

Community

Our community is continuing to expand as we welcome newcomers to the village, due to the traditional turnover of property occupation and the recent expansion of the housing stock within the parish.
